A certified Birth Doula is a trained and experienced non medical birth professional, one who provides evidence based information, continuous physical, and emotional support to the mother/family before, during, and after birth.

BIRTH DOULA SUPPORT the care provided:
-Recognizes birth as a key experience the individual will remember all for life.
-Understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a birthing person in labor.
-Assists the birthing person in preparing for and carrying out their plans for birth.
-Stays with the birthing person throughout the labor/birth process.
-Encourages the partner to participate at his/her comfort level, providing support, suggestions, and relief.
-Provides emotional support, physical comfort measures and an objective viewpoint, as well as facilitates communication between the birthing person, partner, and clinical care providers to ensure all information is received in order to make informed decisions, informed consent.

–Back up doula care is provided through The Doula Care Collective at no additional charge, in the case I'm at a birth, ill, or experiencing an emergency. This back up plan provides you with complete coverage and support. Monthly gatherings are held for all new/current/previous clients (and their families) to come meet the back ups available and have a great time with other new families. .
-Continuous physical, emotional support during all stages of labor, birth and immediate postpartum.
–1 in home postpartum visits once you are ready for our presence to check on feeding progress, provide general newborn tips, promote healing and rest, answer questions, and give reassurance.
–2 weeks of follow up text check ins where you are encouraged to ask questions, request resources as needed, and vent or celebrate as you navigate your experience with us by your side.
