A certified Birth Doula is a trained and experienced non medical birth professional, one who provides evidence based information, continuous physical, and emotional support to the mother/family before, during, and after birth.

"The role of a doula is to be a birth companion, a birth sister, and guardian of the sacred space of birth. The doula provides support to a birthing person, baby, and family during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. As each birthing person, baby, and birth is unique, the role of a doula must evolve and adapt to support each birth optimally for the best needs of the mother and baby. It is our role as doulas to sense the needs of our clients, utilizing our intuition and knowledge, and provide the information, guidance, and arts for the families we work with to empower themselves to birth with confidence, grace and in the space of a loving community ".
